Towards the end of 2020 HIMS launched a project to prepare our website for the future. Our intent was/is to produce a web site that is community focused; our web pages will reflect that we are a part of the Hayling Community, not an isolated association. This project continues, albeit slowly.

Unfortunately, like so many things in this country of ours, we have been slowed down by Covid 19. It is almost impossible to have a community approach to this project without being able to meet, debate and share ideas, face to face.

HIMS committee wish to assure you that work is progressing and that they hope that you will bear with us for a little while longer.

Thank you

We owe our existence to many organisations, large and small. We are extremely grateful for all the gifts of money that allowed us to build our new shed, and to the United Reformed Church for letting us build the shed on its land. We are indebted to:

  • The Veolia Environmental Trust
  • The Aviva Community Fund
  • The National Lottery Community Fund
  • The Co-op Local Community Fund
  • The Asda Foundation
  • KSM Telecom
  • Clothworkers' Foundation
  • Hampshire County Council
  • Havant Borough Council
  • Hampshire Rural Development fund
  • Hayling Island Lions Club
  • M J Camp Charitable Foundation
  • Emco
  • Hayling Business Men's Club
  • The Coastguard CafĂ©
  • Hayling Hardware
  • Total Signs
  • Hayling Garage
  • Jewson
  • Addison Law Solicitors
  • Dilkusha Court Residents
  • Northney Pantomime
  • Hayling Island Choir
  • With apologies to organisations we have missed!

We are also extremely grateful to supporters of our fund-raising events and to those who have made personal contributions of time, money and expertise.

We are also a self-help organisation! Now the shell of the shed is built and has passed building and fire inspections, we are doing a lot of work to:

  • Fit out the interior
  • Landscape the exterior
